Report: 38th Annual Hansen Dam Ride 2017
If you live in the Southern California area near San Fernando or Sylmar, California the annual Hansen Dam ride and gathering is an event that shouldn't be missed.
In other words if you couldn't attend this year's Hansen Dam ride you have really missed out on quite an event because this year has been the largest turn-out thus far.
What is the Hansen dam ride ?
The annual Hansen Dam ride comes once a year, it is usually sponsored by the Southern California Norton Owners Club.
The Hansen dam ride always falls on the same time every year – the first Sunday of November. This particular ride was the 38th continuous event.
The Hansen Dam ride has become a Southern California tradition for vintage British motorcycle enthusiast and also European and Japanese.

Every year my Father and I always ride down to the Hansen Dam park. This year my father brought his 1947 Royal Enfield J2 and I rode my 1968 Triumph TR6R.
The trip from Lancaster to San Fernando (and back) on my Triumph TR6R with about 140 miles round-trip.
One of the best parts about the Hanson dam ride and gathering that I enjoy the most is that all vintage British motorcycle enthusiasts can come together and really appreciate the love for classic bikes.
Is it always a real joy seeing many of my customers in person, and the parts that we offer on their motorcycles - it keeps us motivated and always growing.
"Big Thanks..."
I want to give a big thanks to the Southern California Norton Owners Club for making this event possible.
It's gatherings like this that keep the vintage motorcycle community and tradition alive.
If you couldn't make the ride this year you can always attend the event next year.
Thanks for reading today, ride safe!
