I had a gasket from another supplier. When I tried fitting that gasket over the dowels, it cracked and so I had to discard it. It was very brittle.
This gasket is made of some very nice material, nice and flexible and I can tell that it will fit to any imperfections. Also, the dowel holes are large enough that there is no having to force it around the dowels.
