Here is a multi-purpose tool kit to help you achieve "true" top-dead center as well as locking your engine to help you torque your crank nuts as well as camshaft / pinion gear nuts on your vintage Triumph 650 or 750 twin.
The Bar Included Is Used For (2) Purposes
- To lay across your cylinder barrel to help you find TDC
- To lay between your connecting rods on your crankcase to lock your engine (using the rod fitted into both small end bushings)
The (4) 3/8" Bolts
Included are (4) bolts. All bolts measure 3/8" but (2) have a 26TPI thread pitch and the other (2) have a 24TPI thread pitch. Using the bolts supplied will secure the piston stop bar onto your cylinder barrel.
The (2) Rods
Notice there are 2 rods. The first rod is to fit Triumph 650 small end bushings and the second rod will fit Triumph 750 rods. The bar is used only as an engine lock when you need to torque your nuts.
Since this is a multi-purpose tool it will work exclusively on Triumph 650 unit and pre-unit twins as well as Triumph 750 unit twins. Not suited for any other model or brand
