Now you can install your Triumph twin transmission needle bearings in your case the correct way using this tool. The Triumph workshop manual lists a very similar tool almost identical to the one we are offering today.
Using this tool will not only insert the needle bearings in the case the safe and proper way but will set the needle bearing depth (.075"). If needle bearings are not pushed in far enough or too far it can cause issues with layshaft end float or your thrust washer will not sit in the correct location.
There are other tools on the market that look similar but they are not the same in terms of design, quality and functionality. This layshaft drift tool is made right here in the USA on a computer precision controlled machine (CNC).
Works with all Triumph 500 and 650 pre-unit twins (Bonneville, T120, 5T, 6T, T110,etc) up to approx 1962. Also works with all Triumph 350, 500, 650 and 750 unit twins with needle bearings. The needle bearing this tool is compatible with is 57-1614, T1614, 57-1606 and T1606. Check your parts book to ensure the best fitment.
