This should actually come with a steel retainer clip. I'll have to make something up. Sort of like a circlip but it grabs the plastic and holds it in place. The stub had to be filed down in order to fit. For my 1970 BSA Thunderbolt it holds the clutch cable not the brake cable. REally needs that holding clip.

Worked great when popped into right side case, keeps the clutch cable from rubbing on side case.
