I have a 1965 BSA B 40 the day I noticed the tail light wasn’t working the brake light was ,the bulb was good .Then my lights work with the ignition switch off , do I need to order a switch from you.?starts fine would you think light switch is bad ?

I have a 1942 BSA 500 cc military model. I am looking to replace the carburetor. Which Amal carb will fit this model? I found out the hard way that the monobloc will not fit, as the float housing will notfit behind the magneto. Any help would be appreciated ! Thanks !
